The next destination on our travels was the pretty, unspoiled seaside town of Kas.
With there being no direct bus from Oludeniz to Kas. We had to make our way back to Fethiye bus station, from where we could get a bus to Kas.
Leaving our Golden Key accommodation in Oludeniz at 1000 hrs. We walked down the hill to the main road. The dolmus for Fethiye arrived, we put our backpacks in the back and got on. The journey to the bus station was only 10 minutes at a cost of 7 Turkish Lira each.
Tickets
We purchased our bus tickets at the bus station the previous day whilst we were in Fethiye. Using a company called Bati Antalya. The tickets cost 25 Turkish Lira each. It was a good thing we bought the tickets early as the bus was full.
Departure was on time which is usual in Turkey. We rolled out of the bus station at 1100 hrs, for the 2 hr and 15-minute journey. The bus was a midi type bigger than a minibus but smaller than a bus. There was no toilet, WiFi, or journey refreshments provided. In our opinion, we recommend sitting on the right-hand side of the bus. Although in the sun, the last half an hour of the journey is along the coast road with stunning views over the sea.
Kas bus station is at the top of the town within a 5 minute downhill walk to the main seafront area. Our accommodation in Kas was at the Ceylon Boutique House. Booked through Hotels.com. Only a short 5 min walk from the bus station.
