It had to happen at some time during our adventure. Getting that dreaded message from the bank that our transaction had been declined. The panic that it wasn’t our transaction wasn’t a nice feeling. Fortunately the bank had declined the transaction and we were able to contact them immediately.
The bank’s advice…….. “cancel the card and we will send a new one to your home address”. They eventually got it, that wasn’t an option for us. The card is now permanently locked and we have to unlock it before use, locking it again immediately after use. A pain at first, but better safe than sorry.
