Our epic adventure departure day is finally here. It still hasn’t sunk in that we are actually doing this and after the months of preparation and research we are as ready as we will ever be to go. Everything, well all but the Duck tape, got packed, and believe me there were some huffing and puffing making it all fit in the limited space we have.
Not sure whether it is excitement, nervous anticipation or the sleeping on the floor that woke us up early this morning, but, the last few bits around the house, meter readings, putting the cars away, etc need to be done before we have a fry up, say goodbye to family & friends and start our journey over to Vienna to see Stacey.
After packing up the house and sorting everything out we both need a couple of days to unwind. We thought that this travelling business was going to be fun, the preparations were long and sometimes very demanding, so much so, Tania has woken up with an eye infection, so a quick trip to the chemist is now called for as well but, it’s all going to be worth it.
Angus and Beth, our house sitters, are both really excited about moving in. Sorry guys, we have asked Tracy to look after the house plants, as we want to give them a fighting chance of still being alive when we come home.
