Leaving Sighnaghi in Georgia this morning travelling by marshrutkas to the border crossing, where we have to walk across the border. Once across we will get more marshrutkas to the Azerbaijani city of Sheki.

It’s not all a bed of roses
When we arrived at the Hotel Sani in Kutaisi, we were told that despite us having a Hotels.com booking confirmation and having paid for the hotel, we didn’t have a room. This was a situation that we really didn’t need at the end of a long day with in excess of 7 hours of travelling….
Not all the van’s made it

Winter is coming
A nice day in Batumi with 25 degrees and sunshine which all changed at 4 pm with a huge thunderstorm and heavy rain all night. Now we are heading north into the mountains with an expected temperature of 10 degrees and snow forecast.
Pamper day
Whilst in Batumi we took the opportunity to spoil ourselves with hair cuts. £24.00 for a cut, colour and blow-dry, with a two hour wait for Guy. Guy”s budget cut was done by Tania in the shower…….

What a start to Georgia
The crossing into Georgia was nice and simple, although busy, we were advised to get minibus 88 into the city of Batumi. As we got there the first minibus was full and departed. We offloaded our backpacks and waited for the next one which arrived in a matter of minutes. Before the driver had reversed…
